Am I eligible to receive health forecasts and insights?
You may receive 8-hour glucose forecasts, along with real-time advice for exercise, diet, and lifestyle adjustments if you meet all the following criteria:
- You are an iOS app user.
- You are a Digital Membership subscriber.
- You are not on CGM.
- You have type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or gestational diabetes.
8-hour glucose forecasts are not yet available for Android users; however, eligible Android users may receive glucose prediction push notifications.
How do I receive my first glucose prediction?
If you are eligible (see criteria above), log your first glucose value in the One Drop app to receive your first glucose prediction.
Moving forward, the more health data you contribute to the One Drop app, the more accurate your predictions will become.
If you no longer want to receive predictions, select "Not helpful" when prompted with a glucose forecast or push notification.
About health forecasting and insights
As of August 2020, One Drop has collected more than 13 billion health data points from nearly 3 million One Drop app users in 195 countries. The app collects health data through manual input, automatic upload from connected devices, HealthKit, GoogleFit, and direct integrations with Dexcom, Fitbit, Apple Watch, Companion Medical, and other strategic partners.
Pooled user data is used to train the machine learning models behind One Drop's proprietary behavior change algorithms. These algorithms deliver health forecasts and insights. Currently, One Drop app users who meet certain criteria may receive 8-hours glucose forecasts, push notifications with glucose predictions, and personalized recommendations on what to do next.
One Drop is the only provider of glucose forecasts for people living with type 2 diabetes.
