Am I eligible to receive health forecasts and insights?

You may receive eight-hour glucose forecasts along with real-time advice for exercise, diet, and lifestyle adjustments if you meet all the following criteria:

  • You use the app on an iOS smartphone.

  • You are a One Drop Premium member.

  • You are not on continuous glucose monitor (CGM).

  • You have type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or gestational diabetes.

Eight-hour glucose forecasts are not yet available for Android users; however, eligible Android users may receive glucose prediction push notifications.

How do I receive my first glucose prediction?

If you are eligible, log your first glucose value in the One Drop app to receive your first glucose prediction.

Moving forward, the more health data you contribute to the One Drop app, the more accurate your predictions will become.

About health forecasting and insights

As of March 2022, millions of members have contributed more than 35 billion health data points to the One Drop app. Health data comes through manual input, automatic upload from connected devices, HealthKit, GoogleFit, and direct integrations with Dexcom, Fitbit, Apple Watch, Companion Medical, and other strategic partners.

Pooled member data is used to train the machine learning models behind One Drop's proprietary behavior change algorithms. These algorithms deliver health forecasts and insights. One Drop's machine learning models use your health data (including glucose readings, carb intake, activity, weight, A1C, insulin use, diabetes type, and year of diagnosis) as well as your current time zone to create your health forecast.

One Drop is the only provider of glucose forecasts for people living with type 2 diabetes.

Warning: The glucose forecast provided by One Drop is for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice and should not be used to determine medication doses. Providing inaccurate health data may result in an inaccurate glucose forecast.
