Meet Doug
Doug Warren is Diabadass Extreme.
He's been around the One Drop block a time or two. Or three! In fact, he's coming up on his One Drop three-year anniversary in June of next year.
Doug was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2006. He's been a One Drop user since 2015 and began using his One Drop glucose meter and unlimited test strips in December 2016.
Besides One Drop, what's Doug's story?
Since retiring in 2007, Doug started a personal blog where he highlights his favorite activities: listening, reading, learning, seeing, eating, traveling, and doing.
Doug is also a music connoisseur. He has a grand library of his own curated playlists, that include artists like Dixie Chicks, Milo Greene, Of Monsters and Men, Neil Young, and so much more! Also on Doug's blog: detailed summaries of his awesome travels to places like Amsterdam, Scandanavia, and Lake Tahoe.
At 72, Doug is healthier now than ever. Since retiring in 2007 after a 40-year career as software consultant, architect, and developer, he's learning to be stress-free and enjoy life to the fullest. What does that mean for Doug? Attending SXSW in Austin for all the great music, and partying it up with One Drop! Doug competed in our SXSW Breakfast Taco BG Challenge! Catch the action below:
Diabadass Moves from Doug
Recently, Doug has been focused on his 15-minute walks after breakfast and extending his afternoon workouts to focus more on resistance training as well as cardio.
He's also shifted his diet toward a much lower carb regimen. And the focus has definitely paid off! He's seen major blood sugar improvements, and feels much more energetic!
He's also been diving deep into his One Drop data, exploring alternative ways to analyze his data to better understand (and manage!) his diabetes. Total diabadass.
